4-H (Fourth Grade)

4-H club is the largest youth development organization that empowers young people with skills to lead for a life time. The club is an in-school club that meets monthly during students' cultural arts time. 4-H is a fun, educational program that teaches a variety of hands-on activities and leadership skills. Some of the engaging projects include areas such as: health, science, agriculture, and citizenship. Members must pay a $3.00 membership fee that will include "Discovering the World of 4-H" project book. A shirt may be purchased for $10.00.

October- Officer Elections and Bicycle Rodeo

November-Pet Show

December- Christmas Craft

January- Cookery Contest

February- 4-H Night at the Pelican's game

March- Wetlands Poster Contest and Mardi-Gras Bead Drive

April- Garden Contest and Project Day

May- End of the Year Field Trip, Pet Supply Drive, and 4-H Awards

 

4-H camp is also offered every summer for an additional fee!
